UMD offers master's programs in Data Science and Machine Learning that can be completed in less than two years.

Designed specifically for working professionals, courses are taught in the evenings. Successful graduates will apply the tools and techniques they learn to a wide variety of real-world problems in areas such as marketing, finance, medicine, telecommunications, biology, security, engineering, weather and climate, social networking, and information technology.

Data Science Learn to design, conduct, interpret, and communicate data analysis tasks and studies using methods and tools of statistics, machine learning, computer science, and communications.		Machine Learning Apply methods and techniques of creating models and algorithms that make decisions or predictions, based on data. Explore advanced topics such as deep learning, optimization, and big data analysis.
