Laboratory:
The Simon lab consists
of 3000 sq. ft. of newly renovated laboratory space in the Microbiology
building. Within the space are plant and microbial growth
facilities and student/post doc offices.
Computer:
Five personal computers (two
Pentium 750 mhz, two Pentium 450, Pentium 350) and three printers (HP Laser Jet 5P, Epson color
3000 and Xerox printer/copier) are located
in the offices. All computers are connected by ethernet to the
Departmental workstation.
Office:
Office space for Anne Simon is
within the laboratory.
Plant Growth Facilities:
200 sq ft of
walk in plant
growth facilities are located in the lab. In addition, there
are two 7 sq. ft.
Conviron chambers.

Beckman L8 ultracentrifuge with VTi65 and SW42 rotors, Sorval Superspeed
centrifuge with rotors, Beckman refrigerated midspeed centrifuge, five
microcentrifuges, BioRad Spec2000 spectrophotometer, automated system
for low pressure protein purification (BioRad Econosystem), automated
Biologic FPLC/HPLC system for protein purification (BioRad), four high
and six low voltage power supplies, ten waterbaths, three platform
shakers, Stratagene gradient thermal cycler, New Brunswick shaking
incubator,
Hybaid hybridization oven, Savant speed vac and gel dryer, BioRad Imaging
Densitometer, Nikon inverted microscope, three incubators, two -80oC
freezers, two -20oC freezers, five refrigerators, video imaging system,
Millipore water purification system and other basic equipment
(scales, pH meter, etc). Nearby core
facilities include a phosphorimager and confocal microscope.
