The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has called for public response to their report, issued January 2001, about management of the mute swan, an introduced species whose population are growing rapidly on the Chesapeake Bay.  Read the report and write a letter to the DNR with your recommendation on one or more of the potential management techniques (there are 14 listed at the end of the report).  There are instructions at the web site for how to submit your comments, which must be received no later than 1 March.  Please turn in a copy of your letter.
