MdMammalogyWelcome to the University of Maryland Mammalogy Journal. This journal publishes the scientific contributions of students enrolled in Mammalogy Laboratory (BSCI 335) at the University of Maryland, College Park. Students work in groups of approximately four people to design and carry out an experiment on some aspect of gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) foraging behavior. Gray squirrels are ubiquitous on the University of Maryland campus and are excellent subjects for behavioral research because they are diurnal and habituated to the presence of human observers. Results of this research will be disseminated here, to be used as the foundation for the research of future BSCI 335 students. |
