BSCI 424 — PATHOGENIC MICROBIOLOGY — Fall 2000

How Grades Will Be Determined
for Science in the Evening Course

ALL EXAMS MUST BE TAKEN.

Exams not taken will be averaged as zero.

There will be three mid-term examinations and a final examination.

You must take the final examination.

The three best exam scores will count and the lowest exam will be dropped.

Make-up exams will be considered only for valid medical reasons occurring on the day of the exam and only if a letter authorizing absence on that day is provided by a licensed physician.

The grading formula is as follows:

Lecture Grades (750 pts Total):

  3 Mid-term Exams + Comprehensive Final (233-1/3 points ea.) = 700 points (Drop Lowest Exam Grade)
  4-6 Quizzes = 50 points (Drop Lowest 1 or 2)

Lab Grades (250 pts Total):
  3 Mid-term Exams (60 points ea.) = 180 points
  1 Unknown Report = 50 points
  1 Oral Presentation & T.A.'s Eval. = 20 points

    TOTAL = 1000 points
