REGISTRATION AND CALL FOR PAPERS

23rd Annual Southeastern Phycological Colloquy

Center for Marine Science, UNC-Wilmington

12-14 October 2001

The 23rd Annual Southeastern Phycological Colloquy will be hosted

by Drs Donald F. Kapraun and J. Craig Bailey and will convene October 12-14

at UNC-Wilmington's new Center for Marine Science Research. This forum

will provide an opportunity for professionals and students pursuing studies

on macroalgae, microalgae and marine plants to informally meet in a

stimulating environment to exchange ideas and information.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Charles F. Delwiche (University

of Maryland) will give Saturday evening's keynote address.

Arrangements have been made for a reception and boiled shrimp

dinner, a banquet followed by the invited speaker's presentation, as well

as papers, posters and a field trip.

We hope that you will attend this exciting meeting and take the

opportunity to enjoy the company of your marine botany colleagues. Should

you have any questions please contact Dr. J. Craig Bailey by phone

(910-962-2371) or e-mail (baileyc@uncwil.edu).
