ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Adeel Malik (B.S. '15, biological sciences; B.S. '15, finance) is the CEO and co-founder of Clearstep a rapidly growing AI symptom checking and care navigation digital health startup based in Chicago. The company created an online coronavirus symptom checker that is being used across the country to screen patients for COVID-19 symptoms. Clearstep was featured in Built In Chicago's 50 Startups to Watch in 2020 and was one of the inaugural members of the United Healthcare accelerator. Malik was also named one of Chicago's 20 in their 20's by Crain's Chicago Business in 2020. Prior to founding Clearstep in 2018, Malik was a strategy and analytics consultant at Accenture, where he worked with some of the largest institutions in health care across pharma, health tech, health systems and retail. He also spent three years prior to Accenture as a neuro-immunology researcher at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
