Biology 106 Grading Information Your final grade in BSCI 106 will be based on four lecture examinations, (three hourly mid-terms each worth 100 points and a final worth 150 points) and a laboratory grade (250 points). The lowest midterm exam will be dropped. We do not give makeup exams - if you miss a midterm, that will be the dropped exam. - Exam 1 (100 pts.) is on Friday, February 25, and covers lectures 1-10 - Exam 2 (100 pts.) is on Friday, March 31, and covers lectures 13-22 - Exam 3 (100 pts.) is on Wednesday, April 26, and covers lectures 24-32 - Final exam (150 pts.) is on May 23, 8-10 am in HJPatterson 0226 and has 100 pts. devoted to lectures 34-43 and 50 pts. cumulative over the course. The laboratory grade (250 pts.) will be based on weekly quizzes, 1 lab report, 2 problem sets, and weekly study questions. A failure in either the laboratory or lecture could result in a failing grade for the entire course. See the lab grading policies page for details. There are 600 possible points for the course (remember, one midterm exam and one lab quiz are dropped). Make-up examinations The lowest midterm exam will be dropped. It is to your advantage to take all three of the lecture mid-terms, in order to give yourself the best chance of a high grade.
