General Guidlines
Lab Report Format
Professional scientific journals require every author to follow their particular format exactly, so this will be good practice. This is not difficult; it simply requires that you pay attention to detail.
General Format
- Font: Use Times 12, double spaced
- 1” margins on top, bottom, and sides
- Page numbers in the lower right-hand corner
- Use metric units
- Label the Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Literature Cited sections
Note that these formatting guidelines are for BSCI105 and BSCI106. Be sure to check with your instructor for any guidelines specific for your course.
