MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTORS
|
|
Health computing is one of Maryland’s strongest opportunities for growth. This summer, as the UM-IHC continues to do breakthrough research and translate that research into practice, we are also helping to train the next generation of health-computing specialists. Through our internship program, students gain hands-on experience in the data-driven skills shaping the future of healthcare. By investing in talent and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, we are helping to build the workforce, partnerships and innovation that will strengthen Montgomery County’s economy and expand opportunity beyond our borders.

A recent study led by Chixiang Chen highlights how environmental conditions, specifically airborne pollution, may affect health outcomes long after a patient leaves the hospital.
