Message from the Chair
 An amazing academic year is ending. After more than a year of online instruction and remote working, it was nice to resume in-person classes and see students, staff, and faculty. Kirwan Hall underwent some major renovations and it was great to see the new lounge heavily utilized. This year, we welcomed five new faculty members: Lei Chen, Bassam Fayad, Yu Gu, Huy Nguyen and Christian Rosendal. We also received a generous donation from Michael and Eugenia Brin and the Sergey Brin Family Foundation to establish the Brin Mathematics Research Center, which will begin activities in the fall. Next week, we will celebrate our August 2021, December 2021 and May 2022 graduates! Congratulations to you all! We are very proud of our alumni. Please come back to visit us and keep us updated on all the great things you’re doing. Wishing everyone a great summer!
