This site will become a repository for information on the mitochondrial channel called VDAC (also referred to as mitochondrial porin). It will feature the basic information on the structure, function, and properties of VDAC both in reconstituted systems and in vivo. Since there are controversial aspects to this channel, alternative opinions and views will be included. The operators of the site will decide what is most likely the correct view and feature this. Competing views will be featured to a greater or lesser degree depending on their merit (in the opinion of the operators of the site). Contributions are encouraged but may be edited prior to being placed on the site.
