Author(s).  Year.  Title.  Journal Title.  Volume: pages.

One Author

Scheffer, S.J. 2002.  New host record, new range information, and a new pattern of voltinism:
possible host races within the holly leafminer Phytomyza glabricola Kulp (Diptera: Agromyzidae).  Proceedings of the Entomological Society of Washington.  104: 571-575.

For example, the holly leafminer has a univoltine lifecycle on one host, Ilex coriacea, but a multivoltine lifecycle on its other host, I. glabra (Scheffer 2002).

Two Authors

Fienberg, S.E. and Stern, P.C.  2006.  In search of the magic lasso: The truth about the
polygraph.  Statistical Science.  20: 249-260.

Polygraph tests may not be as accurate as many people believe (Fienberg and Stern 2006).

Three or More Authors

Abrahamson, W.G., Eubanks, M.D., Blair, C.P., and Whipple, A.V.  2001.  Gall flies, inquilines,
and goldenrods: a model for host-race formation and sympatric speciation.  American Zoologist.  41: 928-938.

Evidence suggests that sympatric speciation may be more prevalent than once thought (Abrahamson et al. 2001).
